Solar-Therm Fuel Oil Thermometer from PETRO

1960s; Petroleum Heat & Power Co. - Chicago, IL

This devilish thermometer was given away as a promotion for the Chicago-based company. Solar-Therm Fuel Oil was an additive to allow your petro-based fuel to run more "cleanly." When PETRO began offering "Fuel Oil Insurance," the company offered these thermometers free with coupon. The last pic is of the promotion taken from the Chicago Tribune, Friday, November 11, 1960 - page 22.

Thermometer is in good condition. The entire advertising piece is in great shape with minor wear. Please refer to photos for condition and details.
